In 1966 the United States was fighting a war in Viet Nam. I enlisted in the US Navy. After four years I received an Honorable Discharge. I served my country. I served to protect the country for many reasons. It was a patriotic duty and obligation that comes with enjoying the benefits of living in the United States. I would like to see everyone serve in the armed forces. It was an experience that has helped me throughout my life. I respect all those that sacrifice for the benefit of the country. Sacrifice for the common good.
We salute all those who serve our country.
Thank you Veterans!
My military experience included training, travel and personal skills.
Over 4 years I was stationed on two ships and one Naval Air Station. I traveled to many US States, Europe and passed through the Panama Canal. Military training allowed me to gain the knowledge and experience it took to be an electronic technician and computer programmer. Skills learned in the Navy went beyond academic and hands on training. My responsibilities helped shape the discipline to be an entrepreneur. Serving for me was an exposure to people and places that I will never forget. To borrow an US Army slogan, I was able to "Be All I Could Be".
